An Insight Into The Mind Of A Bartender With A Book Problem

I am a Bartender With A Book Problem, both in real life and my personal adventure that is Taps And Tropes LLC.

My actual name is Britta (yes, like the water filter), and I live in Colorado, USA. I have always LOVED reading and just as equally obsessed with all things bartending since long before I probably should have, lol.

Reading has always been a private thing, something just for me. I did not have friends that I could share my passion with. My husband is NOT a reader, lol, and while my love of reading did pass on to my amazing kiddos… there is definitely no way we could share the type of books I enjoy.

My goal for starting Taps And Tropes was originally based on the idea of a blog. Finding a way to blend the two passions of my life, reading and bartending while being able to share it with others. I have always loved discovering and creating new drinks. Whether it be for a couple, a special occasion, or just because I wanted to! One day while reading it just clicked. What if I were to try picking out a drink for the books I am reading? From there simply, is how Taps And Tropes was born, and I, A Bartender With A Book Problem, began pairing drinks with ties into the books I love so deeply.

I am Just learning to navigate the world that is social media and continue to learn daily. The one thing that will always come with me is the willingness to learn something outside of my comfort zone. Something just recently I have found within myself. So I harness it and I bring my passion to work for you, to grow the love for reading for as many as I possibly can on round at a time.
